Position Overview
This role involves executing designated fieldwork in alignment with the firm's established technical standards and procedures, under the guidance of the Supervisor/Manager or their delegate.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately collect and maintain comprehensive records of field notes, timecards, purchase orders, and completion slips relevant to the project.
- Effectively organize workloads and schedule team members to ensure efficient project progression.
- Maintain regular communication with management, clients, and on-site consultants to facilitate timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Comply with all Health and Safety Policies and Regulations as stipulated by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and J.D. Barnes Ltd.'s Health and Safety Policy.
- Conduct survey calculations as required.
Qualifications
- Some experience as a Party Chief or a degree/diploma in surveying, or relevant experience as a Senior Survey Assistant.
- Familiarity with data collection tools, surveying equipment, and methodologies.
- Understanding of survey challenges and proficiency with various types of equipment.
- Basic knowledge of surveying regulations and standards.
- Strong supervisory skills and effective time management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
This position involves outdoor work in diverse weather conditions and requires a degree of physical strength, as candidates will be responsible for transporting equipment such as Total Stations, Levels, Bars, and Stakes.
