Position Summary

TECHFORM MECHATRONICS IS SEEKING A MILLWRIGHT

Role Responsibilities

A Millwright is tasked with the assembly, installation, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical systems to support the production requirements of the organization. The Millwright will report to the Advanced Engineering Supervisor for daily guidance.

Key Duties Include:


• Receive and prioritize instructions regarding operational needs;

• Collaborate with engineering teams on the design, fabrication, installation, and testing of new and modified machinery;

• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and facility issues alongside other departments;

• Execute repairs efficiently and promptly as needed;

• Assess job requirements in relation to necessary tools and materials;

• Estimate timeframes for task completion;

• Acquire the necessary tools, equipment, and parts through various channels;

• Communicate part specifications to engineering and toolroom using basic sketches;

• Interpret blueprints for machinery and components;

• Perform preventative maintenance as outlined in the company’s maintenance program;

• Operate forklifts and high lifts as required;

• Troubleshoot PLC and control program issues, making basic adjustments as necessary;

• Utilize milling machines, drill presses, grinders, lathes, welders, measuring tools, and computers in daily tasks;

• Provide assistance to other maintenance teams as needed;

• Coordinate with production, toolroom, engineering, and quality control departments in the execution of duties;

• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers through the purchasing department;

• Complete daily time sheets accurately;

General Expectations

• Identify and address environmental considerations while performing tasks.

• Adhere to safety protocols in all work activities.

• Comply with established Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.

• Contribute to achieving Techform's operational goals as outlined by key performance indicators.

• Focus on delivering internal and external customer satisfaction in all duties.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or designated personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements


• Certified Millwright with valid credentials;

• Pre-employment training in general equipment repairs, encompassing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;

• Familiarity with welding principles is advantageous;

• Proficient in reading detailed machine blueprints;

• Basic understanding of PLC and control programming languages;

• Attention to detail is crucial, as the role involves working on critical equipment.
