About the Role

Lullaboo Aurora Inc. is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Housekeeping and Cooking Duties: Support our team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for children, including preparing meals and snacks.
  • Childcare and Education: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote their learning and development.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the childcare centre.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.
