Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Civil Project Engineer with a focus on Infrastructure engineering. The selected candidate will engage in a range of projects across multiple regions, emphasizing the planning, design, procurement, and oversight of infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conducting feasibility studies, route assessments, and site selection processes, along with preparing concept design documentation.
  2. Creating comprehensive design packages that include detailed drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
  3. Drafting technical specifications and contract documents pertinent to main works and investigative contracts.
  4. Managing tender evaluations and procurement activities.
  5. Preparing necessary documentation for statutory approvals, including planning permissions and land acquisition processes.
  6. Overseeing contract administration during the construction phase.
  7. Formulating detailed project plans that encompass budgets, timelines, and resource distribution.
  8. Contributing to infrastructure projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  9. Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory entities to guarantee compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  10. Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and support personnel.
  11. Conducting site inspections to assess project progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  12. Preparing and evaluating technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  13. Monitoring project expenditures and managing change orders effectively.
  14. Identifying potential project risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  15. Encouraging effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or a comparable field (exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience may also be considered).

- Chartered Engineer status or membership in a professional engineering body, actively pursuing Chartership.

- Willingness to engage in diverse civil engineering projects across various regions.

- Strong teamwork skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, and effective communication capabilities.

- Experience in supervising technicians in the production of engineering drawings and documentation.

- Proficient in report writing and familiar with management processes.

- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.

- Proficiency in infrastructure project design and analysis software.

- Familiarity with various construction contract forms.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently.
