About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Rate Me Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our site operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
    • Clean and maintain equipment, including cranes and other heavy machinery.
  • Construction Support
    • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
    • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation
    • Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
    • Assemble tower cranes on site.
    • Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side.
  • Site Maintenance
    • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
    • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
    • Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal
    • Assist in demolishing buildings.
    • Clean and pile salvaged materials.
    • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Site Safety and Security
    • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
    • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
