Position Overview:

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks within both laboratory settings and diagnostic imaging environments. You will be an integral part of a collaborative healthcare team, primarily serving rural communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and analyzing biological samples.
  • Conducting X-ray examinations and ECGs.
  • Reporting diagnostic results accurately.
  • Preparing patients for procedures.
  • Performing venipuncture and micropuncture.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Executing quality control procedures as necessary.

Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I

Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH

Unit and Program: Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging

Primary Location: Whitecourt Healthcare Centre

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time

Work Schedule: Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Salary Range: $35.45 - $46.69 per hour

Qualifications Required: Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
