We are seeking a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a Continuing Part-Time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students in various schools within the district.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate speech-language services with school teams to support students with speech and language needs.
- Identify, assess, and evaluate students with possible significant communicative impairments.
- Develop and implement effective intervention programs for students individually, in the classroom, or in small groups as needed.
- Collaborate with school-based teams, including parents, school district personnel, and outside agencies to support student needs.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Develop and present in-service training to school district personnel and parents on topics related to speech and language services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school staff and parents.
- Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from a recognized university.
- Eligibility for membership in the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
- Experience working in an educational setting and with students with diverse needs and disabilities preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
The successful candidate will be required to have a car and a valid BC driver's license due to the itinerant nature of the position.
