Storage Engineer Job Description

At Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team. As a Storage Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative storage solutions that enhance AI training and inference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on AI and data storage intersection, focusing on developing cutting-edge storage technologies.
  • Explore and implement emerging storage technologies that accelerate AI workloads and improve efficiency.
  • Design storage component architecture to meet AI-driven application demands.
  • Implement software solutions that optimize storage systems for AI processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends by attending top international conferences.
  • Collaborate with international teams to enhance the quality and impact of your work.
  • Present project findings and contribute to strategic discussions at our headquarters in China.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with a strong curiosity for technology.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science/engineering, or a related storage field.
  • Experience with data storage technologies like NAS and filesystems is an asset.
  • Proficient in researching state-of-the-art work and developing new ideas.
  • Skilled in C, C++, or Python programming.
  • Driven, passionate about technology and innovation, self-starter.
