Building Automation Systems Maintenance Specialist at Ainsworth

Overview: Join Ainsworth, a company that values teamwork, innovation, and diversity. We are looking for a dedicated professional to fill the role of Building Automation Systems Maintenance Specialist.

Role Summary: As a Building Automation Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will be tasked with executing preventative maintenance on automation systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, commissioning new systems, and ensuring all devices are properly tested and calibrated. You will also provide essential technical support to both customers and the sales team, while documenting maintenance activities and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on DDC control systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within DDC control systems.
  • Diagnose problems in IP/MSTP networks.
  • Commission and implement DDC control systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to offer site-specific recommendations.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and conduct PM reviews with clients.
  • Assist the Service team with technical support.
  • Provide valuable site and technical information to the sales department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of building systems, particularly HVAC.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar field, with knowledge of HVAC, building control systems, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Networking experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Delta, Johnson, or Siemens systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in using computers and mobile devices relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks systematically and organized.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Provide services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meet the necessary background check and security requirements.
  • Experience in Energy Management is beneficial.
  • Programming skills are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
