Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical assistance to clients utilizing analytical capabilities, support new installations, implementations, maintenance, training, and create documentation tailored to the clients' environment.
  • Strong business and technical communication skills are essential for engaging with clients at both the engineering and management levels. Collaboration within a close-knit team, alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks and exhibit flexibility, is crucial.
  • Occasional travel to client locations may be necessary.
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve technical challenges promptly.
  • Enhance and sustain troubleshooting expertise across all Check Point products and maintain technical proficiency in industry-standard technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of pertinent experience in TCP/IP networking and Internet Security technologies.
  • Familiarity with Check Point products is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server systems.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VPN technologies.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and common TCP/UDP protocols at the packet level, with networking experience in Windows, UNIX, and/or LINUX operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VRRP/HSRP, VoIP (H.323, SIP, MGCP), and routing protocols such as OSPF & BGP.
  • Experience with core dump/kernel panic analysis.
  • Fundamental programming skills, with the capability to create simple UNIX shell scripts (Bash or C Shell).
  • Experience in providing support to direct customers, resellers, operations & maintenance, and field personnel in resolving product-related issues.
  • Must have eligibility to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
