Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled Security Program Manager to champion the leadership and growth of our security programs in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Job SummaryThis leadership position will be responsible for developing and coordinating implementation strategies to support all of our operations and security programs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing employees and client services, with a strong background in security and fire safety services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of short- and long-range goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with Paladin Security's vision and policies.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate security programs for Paladin's contracts.
- Oversee and schedule resources to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Take ownership of staff and client issues, and support timely responses to both groups.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients in the portfolio.
- Perform interviews to support Human Resources, ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet contractual obligations.
- Ensure thorough site training and employee orientations programs are in place at all sites within the portfolio.
- Visit clients and staff regularly to ensure needs are met.
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist accounting as needed to ensure all accounts are up to date.
- Monitor daily and nightly reports and Incident Reports, taking appropriate action on related reports.
- Ensure overall coordination of Paladin contract security plans, including developing and maintaining security programs, facility plans, and related documentation.
- Support other Paladin-wide programs by delivering education/awareness sessions on security issues as required.
- Minimum one year of management experience of employees and client services.
- Graduate degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related discipline, with specialized training in protection services or criminology.
- Minimum three years supervisory/managerial experience in security and/or fire safety services.
- Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
- Strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to write and present proposals to large organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records.
- Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
- Usual business hours of work with after-hours and weekend availability required.
- Must have a reliable working vehicle.
- Class G Driver's License required.
- Experience with Paladin Mobile Division an asset.
