Qualifications and Requirements

**Education and Training**

Graduate of an approved Health Information Management Professional program with a strong foundation in healthcare data management and analysis.

**Certifications and Memberships**

Certification with the Canadian College of Health Information Management Health Records Administrators at the Certificant Level (CHIM) and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Health Information Management Association.

**Knowledge and Experience**

Knowledge of applicable legislation, such as the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and experience with ADT and Health Records Systems.

**Skills and Abilities**

Ability to identify and complete work assignments, prioritize and meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, healthcare providers, external agencies, clients, and the public.

**Technical Skills**

Proficient in operating related equipment, including computerized systems, and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

**Physical and Emotional Demands**
