Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and customer-focused manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver concrete to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Visually inspect concrete mix for quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including those specified by site, city, provincial, federal, and company regulations.
Requirements
  • Class 1 or 3 license with air endorsement.
  • At least 3 years of experience safely driving heavy trucks.
  • Good driving record (driver's abstract required).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of local and provincial transportation regulations and trucking routes.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
  • Ability to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
  • Availability to work six days a week (Monday - Saturday) and occasionally on Sunday.
  • Ability to work overtime as business and weather conditions warrant.
