The Government of Manitoba is seeking a dedicated Facility Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of provincially-owned and leased facilities. This role is critical in ensuring that client departments operate in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Employment Type: Regular/full-time
Department: Consumer Protection and Government Services
Location: Thompson, MB
Salary: FM3 $57, $76,383.00 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
- Oversee human resources functions and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Lead and mentor staff, fostering a productive work environment.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and respond to facility-related issues.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Technical certification in a major trade or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in facility management and maintenance operations.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices and relevant legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making abilities.
Desired:
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
Conditions of Employment:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's licence without restrictions.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting and working in various environments.
