Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical milling machines, using appropriate tools, fixtures, and indicators to ensure maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines with precision and accuracy.
  • Load, unload, change, and modify programs as required to meet production demands.
  • Change and set cutting tools to optimize machine performance.
  • Modify and grind tools as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Adjust feeds and speeds to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Operate the machine with all safety precautions in place to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Deburr and prepare parts for loading and after unloading to meet quality control standards.
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in CNC machining required for junior positions.
  • 10+ years' experience in CNC machining required for senior positions.
  • Certificate of qualification, college degree, or other training in CNC machining an asset.
  • Fanuc or Haas experience a must.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam preferred.
  • Previous aerospace experience preferred.
  • Previous jobbing shop experience preferred.
