We are seeking a skilled Regenerative Rancher/Farmer to join our team at VG Meats, Rowe Farms, and Olliffe. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting conservation and a rehabilitative approach to food and farming systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage grasslands through holistic planned grazing to promote ecosystem health and biodiversity.
  • Monitor ecosystem processes to evaluate the effectiveness of our conservation efforts.
  • Feed and tend livestock, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Operate and maintain farm vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of animals, taking prompt action to address any issues.
  • Set, monitor, and maintain water lines, airflow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
  • Clean stables, barns, livestock trailers, barnyards, coops, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Adhere to and abide by all Health and Safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Look for opportunities to increase abundance and grow food for Ontarians.
  • Work independently and/or with others in a team environment.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to take direction and/or make decisions on own as required.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Good work ethic and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • No specific education or training requirements, but a college certificate or specialized courses related to farming would be beneficial.
