Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Western Forest Products. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with production and other business operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians, operators, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a certificate or diploma in a related field (e.g. mechanical trades, engineering).
