Job Title: Landscape Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Landscape Labourer to join our team at Nutri-Lawn Ottawa. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and operating and maintaining landscape maintenance equipment.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring you to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a variety of weather conditions, and maintain a high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, and cut grass using a variety of equipment, including chain saws, sod cutters, tractors, and power mowers.
  • Rake and collect refuse, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including chain saws, sod cutters, tractors, and power mowers.
  • Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products as required.
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and apply insecticides and fungicides as needed.
  • Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
