Job Summary:

The Laborer - Yard position will be primarily responsible for supporting yard operations at our PVC manufacturing facility. This role reports to the Yard Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with production plant to stage regrind from yard to plant
  • Ensure safe handling and transportation of PVC pipe
  • Maintain yard organization and cleanliness
  • Sort waste products from plant for recycling
  • Assist with inventory counts and rework or re-crating scrap or good production
  • Support gasket area organization and fix bags and re-bag materials
  • Safely load and unload trucks
  • Repackaging of super sacks for outbound shipment
  • Contribute to general housekeeping in the yard and plant

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2,000 hours operating forklift
  • Minimum 2,000 hours operating skid steer
  • Proven ability to follow safety policies and procedures
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
  • Basic understanding of the MES System and extrusion process
  • Experience with Infoflo an asset
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Able to safely operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
