Brandt is actively looking for a Service Technician to operate in the Revelstoke area, with reporting responsibilities to our Kamloops branch. This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of construction and forestry machinery and attachments within a workshop setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the operational state of heavy-duty machinery, diagnosing issues, disassembling and reassembling components, sourcing parts, and executing repairs efficiently.
  • Utilize secondary materials and tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Employ various instruments, hand tools, power tools, and computer systems to complete tasks.
  • Document all relevant machine details, actions performed, and time spent on work orders accurately.
  • Continuously evaluate service-related hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Leverage computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) for maintenance documentation, inspections, and diagnostics.
  • Reference parts catalogs to identify and requisition necessary components from parts personnel.
  • Conduct road tests on equipment and verify the functionality of attachments as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with customers, service teams, and branch staff.
  • Capability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience

  • Prior mechanical experience in a heavy equipment setting is preferred.
  • Certification as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or an equivalent recognized trade is preferred.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining service excellence.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers, service teams, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor skills.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
