We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Beedie Investments Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as emptying trash cans, washing windows, and making minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Supervise and assist other workers as needed to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Operate industrial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, power tools, and lawn mowers to maintain the property.
- Perform safety and security checks to ensure the property is secure and free from hazards.
- Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks independently.
- Collaborate with contractors to arrange repairs and maintenance of the property.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and contractors.
- Dependability, flexibility, and initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
