About the Role:
- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Supervise the nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams as needed.
- Apply critical thinking to promote positive clinical outcomes, ensuring patient education and participation in discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of nursing care, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assess patients on admission, making referrals to other disciplines as necessary, such as rehabilitation and nutritional services.
- Develop and update nursing care plans, ensuring coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Release, remove, and reposition patients safely and efficiently, prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
- Experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
