Job Summary

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our South Indian cuisine specialties
    • Source high-quality ingredients and supplies to maintain inventory and records
  • Culinary Operations
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and handling
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high-quality standards
  • Customer Service
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory
    • Order supplies and ingredients as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Team Management
    • Recruit and hire staff to meet kitchen operations needs
    • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Language
    • Fluency in English
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks
