Position Overview

As a Senior Information Security Analyst specializing in Cyber Defense, you will be instrumental in formulating and executing cybersecurity strategies that align with industry standards. Your expertise will be vital in collaborating with Trust & Security leadership to assess and enhance our information security posture.

Your responsibilities will encompass gathering requirements to tackle security challenges, monitoring industry trends to identify effective strategies and tools, conducting proof of concept evaluations, deploying and configuring security solutions, and establishing long-term support frameworks to ensure the success of these implementations.

You will collaborate closely with teams across Cloud Security, Infrastructure Engineering, and Security Operations to ensure comprehensive visibility and alerting mechanisms are established. Additionally, you will engage with various teams to analyze the root causes of incidents and alerts as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust security measures to safeguard computer systems, networks, and sensitive information.
  • Identify and define security requirements while optimizing processes to maintain system integrity.
  • Document and prepare standard operating procedures for security protocols.
  • Configure and troubleshoot various security solutions.
  • Manage a range of security tools and deployments, including DLP, EDR, zero trust frameworks, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Evaluate current tool configurations to identify opportunities for enhancing our security posture.
  • Develop and deploy technical solutions and new security tools to address security gaps.
  • Compose detailed reports outlining assessment findings, outcomes, and recommendations for system security improvements.
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures as necessary.
  • Stay informed about developments in the security industry, including new solutions and improved processes.
  • Propose and implement metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of security tools and technologies.
  • Refine existing tools to address gaps identified by Cyber Detect and Cyber Respond teams.
  • Support cloud security posture management, threat detection automation, and participate in incident response on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in cyber/information security.
  • Preferred qualifications include certifications in Azure/AWS and one or more security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.).
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems, with familiarity with tools such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, and AWS Inspector.
  • Proficient in public cloud environments like AWS and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Ability to approach new challenges with urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Skilled in building partnerships and collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for containerized workloads deployed on AWS ECS/EKS.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Go/Python and AWS/Azure SDK, CLI, and APIs; experience with Splunk or LogScale is advantageous.
