Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Valu. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Process sales transactions, including debit and credit transactions, and handle cash and credit
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including sweeping, dusting, and other general store maintenance activities
  • Assist with replenishing shelves and receiving deliveries of pet food and supplies
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous retail or guest service experience is desirable
  • Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and closing
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software is desirable
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively without assistance
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from the store
