Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in animals through examinations or laboratory tests
  • Hiring and training support staff
  • Treating sick or injured animals with appropriate medical interventions
  • Administering vaccinations to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advising clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, and hygiene
  • Conducting routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
  • Providing a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics and dentistry
  • Supervising animal health technologists and care workers
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising:

  • 1 to 2 staff members
  • 3 to 4 staff members
Licensing and Certification

Applicants must hold:

  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Handling heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
  • Physical demands including bending, crouching, and kneeling
Weight Handling

Ability to handle weights up to:
