About the Role

Pattison Agriculture Limited is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Attachment and Maintenance: Attach components and adjust new farm equipment, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and a strong understanding of mechanical transmissions, hydraulic transmissions, and brake systems.
  • Experience and Skills: Have experience working with farm equipment and possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
