Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Clinician to join our Renal Transplant Program at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing renal transplantation, as well as coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' health needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the transplant process
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including nephrologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with community health teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Current registration with the Order of Nurses of Quebec (O.I.I.Q.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse, with a focus on renal care and transplantation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Fluency in English, with Cree or French an asset
Working Conditions

This position involves travel to communities and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
