Job Title: Building Materials Handler

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Materials Handler to join our team at Cubbon Building Centre Ltd. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
  • Pick orders and stock
  • Pack and unpack goods
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Provide advice about merchandise
  • Greet customers and discuss type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control
  • Assist in display of merchandise
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
