Qualifications and Achievements
You have successfully earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, and may possess an advanced degree in related disciplines. Your technical problem-solving skills are complemented by strong interpersonal abilities, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. With 0-2 years of experience in an engineering capacity, you are registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) and are prepared to contribute to Framatome's mission of delivering clean and safe energy while advancing nuclear technology.

About You

- Prior internship or co-op experience in your field of study.
- Experience in the design, analysis, and qualification of Structures, Systems, and Components.
- Familiarity with system engineering, nuclear engineering, and design review processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and constructability methods.
- Capability to support design and constructability review meetings.
- Understanding of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N299/Z299, ASME BPVC standards.
- Acquaintance with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.20.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, and MicroShield.
- Ability to prepare and critically review various engineering calculations and reports.
- Active participation in resolving technical issues identified by project management or customer requests, aimed at enhancing business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
- Collaborative skills to work effectively with senior engineers and other disciplines.
- Adaptability to respond swiftly to changing demands.
- Commitment to executing work with high safety and quality standards.
Your Role
This position focuses on making a significant impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will utilize your skills and experience as part of an innovative team, contributing to our customers' success. As an Early Career Nuclear Engineer, you will be involved in the Installed Base Business Unit, engaging in:
- Conducting standard engineering tasks in areas such as design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, specification preparation, field task execution, and problem resolution.
- Performing field visits to support engineering project development.
- Collaborating with clients to ensure that identified solutions meet their needs.
- Delivering engineering outputs that support plant lifetime operations, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
This role may require up to 25% travel. Together, we will facilitate clean, safe, and cost-effective low-carbon energy solutions to meet global sustainability goals.
