We are currently seeking a Front Desk Attendant to become a valued member of our PARKLAND WEST BEDFORD team located in BEDFORD, NOVA SCOTIA.

About the Role

• Manage and direct telephone inquiries, welcoming and guiding visitors;
• Provide routine information and respond to questions from residents, visitors, and staff;
• Conduct active screening of employees and visitors (Covid-19);
• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages;
• Prepare and disseminate forms, reports, and other documents to relevant personnel and departments;
• Handle a variety of tasks, some of which may be confidential;
• Process and record client payments;
• Ensure client safety by adhering to all standard operational procedures and safe work practices.

About You

In addition to valuing continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability, you possess:

• Completion of High School/GED.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service, particularly with seniors, is advantageous.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor is highly valued.
• Familiarity with the local area is beneficial.
• Experience managing cash flow.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset.
• Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts. This position is ideal for retirees.
• A genuine passion for the healthcare sector and a commitment to ensuring seniors receive quality accommodations, services, and care.
