Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and engineering of complex bridge projects, including rail bridges and transportation infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes, including conceptual design, detailed design, and technical specifications.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare and review reports, contract documents, and other project deliverables for clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in design and engineering of bridge projects, with a strong understanding of alternative delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with Metrolinx, AREMA, CN Rail, CP Rail, and MTO is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Ontario design standards (OPSS), and client-specific standards and requirements.
  • Experience in managing or leading a group is considered an asset, as is bilingualism in English and French.
