Job OverviewIn the role of Lift Operations Crew Supervisor, you will manage a team of up to 15 Lift Operations crew members. As an integral part of the Mountain Operations team, your focus will be on ensuring a safe and exceptional experience for both crew members and guests. Your leadership skills will be essential in guiding your team effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Mentoring and supervising lift operations crew members
- Facilitating lift operations meetings for each shift and coordinating staff breaks
- Assisting with pre-operational checks and closing procedures, along with conducting daily lift inspections
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels for smooth lift operations
- Inspiring and motivating staff to uphold high standards of customer service
- Training team members on all operational and safety protocols for various lift systems
- Organizing daily assignments for lift stations
- Reporting guest feedback, employee relations issues, and liability concerns to the Duty Manager
- Providing support for various tasks as required
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Directly supervises the following positions: Lift Operators within the assigned crew.
Qualifications and Skills Required- Minimum of one season of experience in winter operations
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures
- Understanding of various lift systems including detachable, fixed grip, tow, and conveyor lifts
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to lead with a positive demeanor
- Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
The Lift Operations Supervisor primarily works outdoors and may encounter diverse weather conditions. Work hours are contingent on weather. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including shifts that may rotate, as well as day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays. Duties may involve prolonged standing, lifting, twisting, shoveling, and other physical tasks.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly wage ranging from $21.62 to $25.28
