Position Overview:
The Automotive Sales Consultant engages with prospective clients to understand their vehicle preferences, showcase features, facilitate test drives, and assist with the necessary paperwork to finalize sales. Sales professionals aim to achieve monthly targets by adhering to a structured work plan focused on sales activities and delivering exceptional customer service from initial interaction to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers entering the showroom, creating a professional and inviting atmosphere
- Provide detailed information about new and used vehicles, performance, financing options, and application processes
- Utilize strong communication skills to build rapport and assist customers in selecting their ideal vehicle
- Maintain an organized customer database to support ongoing sales efforts
- Conduct test drives and vehicle demonstrations to highlight features and benefits
- Employ negotiation techniques to finalize sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Proactively reach out to potential buyers to schedule appointments and meet productivity goals
- Follow up with previous clients to foster repeat business and referrals, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
- Stay informed on dealer group and manufacturer training requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old to meet insurance criteria
- Possess valid documentation for employment and a current driver's license
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record screening
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or sales
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated competitive spirit and resilience to achieve sales targets
Compensation:
- Paid Training during the initial three months – earn while you learn
