The position is based in a vibrant restaurant setting, where you will be at the heart of culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and forecast the necessary quantities and costs of food supplies
- Calculate labor expenses associated with kitchen operations
- Maintain comprehensive records of food costs, usage, sales, and inventory
- Analyze operational expenses and relevant data
- Introduce innovative cooking techniques and equipment to the kitchen staff
- Oversee the activities of chefs, cooks, and kitchen personnel
- Develop and test new recipes
- Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for events
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Prepare meals for regular service and special occasions
- Order food and kitchen supplies as needed
- Coordinate equipment purchases and maintenance
- Consult with clients for events and special functions
- Plan and manage food preparation and cooking activities across multiple locations
- Design menus that meet quality expectations
- Recruit and onboard new kitchen staff
