At Johnson Electric, we are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, inspection, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Install and assemble industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjust and repair machinery, replacing defective parts as needed.
  • Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Construct foundations for machinery.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Johnson Electric's Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, Quality Systems, and Environmental Health and Safety Systems.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree or Trade School Certification.
  • Three to five years' experience in industrial machinery installation, inspection, and repair.
  • Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as welding experience.
  • Ability to work indoors in a noisy environment with varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and crawling.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and continental shifts.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time.
  • Able to work overtime when required or requested.
