At Johnson Electric, we are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, inspection, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Install and assemble industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjust and repair machinery, replacing defective parts as needed.
- Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Construct foundations for machinery.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Johnson Electric's Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, Quality Systems, and Environmental Health and Safety Systems.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College degree or Trade School Certification.
- Three to five years' experience in industrial machinery installation, inspection, and repair.
- Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as welding experience.
- Ability to work indoors in a noisy environment with varying temperatures.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and crawling.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and continental shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time.
- Able to work overtime when required or requested.
