Job Summary

Murata Power Solutions is a leading provider of power conversion products, focused on two key market segments: Server, Storage, Networking (SSN) and E-Mobility, including electric vehicles, robotics, and energy storage. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Principal or Senior Level Engineers in the design and development of power supplies from kickoff through to manufacturing introduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical integrity of the design and meet product safety and EMC requirements.
  • Interface with customers to communicate technical information and provide solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Supervise the work of technologists and ensure that designs are documented according to ISO9001 procedures.
  • Perform schematic entry, calculations, simulations, and bread-boarding in the design process.
  • Implement microcontroller firmware and hardware for power management/control functions in power supplies.
  • Design circuits and perform tests and evaluations for design verification and integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-frequency power supply design.
  • Experience with switching power supplies, AC/DC, DC/DC, and resonant converters.
  • Knowledge of wide band gap devices, such as SiC and GaN, and their application in power electronics circuits.
  • Experience in design and optimization of magnetic components, such as transformers and inductors.
  • Experience with analog circuit design, control theory techniques, and digital control systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, MathCAD, and PSPice simulation tools.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Work Environment

This is an on-site role with one flex day per week of remote work. The position requires 90% sedentary work, 5% lifting and carrying equipment, and 5% working in confined spaces.
