About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Swim Instructor/Lifeguard to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons and ensuring the safety of our military members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups of various ages and skill levels
  • Supervise pool activities and enforce safety rules to prevent accidents
  • Teach participants how to swim and design activities for specific groups, such as seniors or children
  • Motivate students and help them reach their full potential
  • Expand your skills and share your passions to improve the quality of life for our military members
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A combination of education, training, and/or experience in swimming instruction and lifeguarding
  • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
  • Current recognized Swim Instructor certification
  • High FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or High FIVE Sport certification
  • Experience in dealing with the public, including children, and performing lifeguard duties
