Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various projects, including transportation and building sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for transportation and building projects, including power distribution, control, communication, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models for electrical systems.
- Understand and apply electrical engineering requirements, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Electrical Safety Authority, and IEEE standards for building and site design.
- Work independently or as part of a team to deliver comprehensive designs and meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Up to 5 years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings, transportation, healthcare, and light industrial projects.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Enthusiastic, eager to learn, detail-oriented, organized, hard worker, and team player attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with software used for engineering studies, such as arc flash, load, fault, and coordination studies, lighting, grounding, etc.
