Activation Aide Job Description

At Sienna Senior Living, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. As an Activation Aide, you will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our seniors by planning and implementing engaging activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Collaborate with other therapy programs, such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy, to provide a holistic approach to care.
  • Conduct resident assessments and establish goals and interventions based on their identified needs and concerns.
  • Document and evaluate programs to ensure their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • A valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competency in Point Click Care and MS Office.
  • Experience working with seniors and understanding of their needs and preferences.
