We are looking for a skilled school bus mechanic to join our mechanical department in Drummondville.

As a mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on school buses;
  • Performing road tests to ensure vehicle safety;
  • Completing mechanical maintenance reports and work orders;
  • Executing paint and finishing repairs;
  • Adhering to the Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP);
  • Compiling parts lists for repairs and maintaining inventory;
  • Monitoring warranty claims;
  • Issuing parts release slips for work orders;
  • Organizing the workshop, including equipment and storage;
  • Researching technical documentation;
  • Cleaning work areas and washing vehicles;
  • Installing radio, camera, and GPS systems on new vehicles;
  • Identifying mechanical issues;
  • Performing any other related tasks as needed.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full-time, permanent position

Compensation

  • Hourly wage starting from $/hour, based on experience and skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience;
  • Familiarity with diesel mechanics;
  • Understanding of electric propulsion systems;
  • Proficiency in Cummins, Wabco, Outlook, and Allison software;
  • Knowledge of hydraulic brake systems;
  • PEP card is an asset;
  • Valid Canadian work permit.
