About the Role

Cronos GrowCo is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IPM Scout to join our team. As a key member of our growing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and quality of our cannabis crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily monitoring and scouting of pest, disease, and plant health issues
  • Supervise IPM protocols for pest and disease management
  • Compile and review IPM and conventional reports
  • Monitor the efficiency of control measures used
  • Verify pest and disease infestation trends
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Plan and organize scout duties as required
Requirements
  • Horticulture or hydroponic vegetable/cannabis greenhouse education and/or experience is an asset
  • Pesticide license or Assistant's license is an asset
  • Knowledgeable of hydroponic cannabis pests and disease identification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Must be honest, forthcoming, flexible, reliable, and respectful to others
  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in hydroponic vegetable or cannabis production
About the Environment
  • Work environment can be warm and humid
  • Able to wear appropriate PPE, including a full-face mask and spray suit as needed
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
