Our team of experts works collaboratively with architects, builders, developers, and property owners to design and implement sustainable, low-carbon solutions for new and existing buildings.
About the RoleThis position requires an active role in assisting our clients achieve their energy performance goals. As a Building Performance Analyst, you will be an integral member of our subject matter expert team, responsible for working closely with clients to understand their project needs and find optimal integrated design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Sustainable Design Consulting: Provide expert advice on sustainable design principles and strategies to minimize environmental impacts.
- Energy Audits and Decarbonization Planning: Conduct energy audits and develop decarbonization plans to help clients reduce their carbon footprint.
- Energy Modeling Services: Perform energy modeling services for LEED, Zero Carbon Solutions, and other energy-related projects.
- Measurement & Verification Planning: Develop and implement measurement and verification plans for retrofit projects.
- Government Incentives and Programs: Assist clients in navigating government incentives and programs, such as Save-on-Energy and CMHC.
- Renewable Energy Analysis: Conduct renewable energy analysis to identify opportunities for clients to reduce their reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
- Daylighting and Thermal Comfort Analysis: Perform daylighting and thermal comfort analysis to ensure buildings are designed to provide a comfortable and healthy indoor environment.
- ESG and GRESB Reporting: Assist clients in preparing ESG and GRESB reports to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.
- Proficiency in Energy Modeling Software: Proficiency in energy modeling software tools such as IES-VE, eQuest, EnergyPlus, and RETScreen.
- Strong Knowledge of Building Systems: Strong knowledge of building systems, specifically HVAC systems and building controls.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills to work effectively with clients, disciplines, and internal departments.
- Education and Certifications: Mechanical Engineering or Building Science degree, and LEED Green Associate certification (an asset).
