In this role, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, the Shunter is responsible for operating the shunt truck, maneuvering attached trailers, and relocating trailers within the yard and to loading docks as required.

Key Details:

This position involves working during night or overnight shifts.

Compensation: $24.58/hr plus additional premiums for night and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating the shunt truck and connecting trailers.
  • Linking the shunt truck to trailers, transporting them to designated bays, and detaching them as necessary.
  • Connecting and disconnecting air lines, positioning jack stands and power chocks, and engaging the trailer dolly using a crank.
  • Willingness to assist with production line or warehouse tasks as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Class 1 Licence.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • This position is subject to seniority.
  • Physical demands include frequent sitting, with occasional walking and standing.
