**Job Summary**
This is a senior leadership role within the Canada Cartage Group, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Operations Team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the performance of our City Operations team, which includes managing surge freight volumes, cost containment, service levels, and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Foster a working environment based on our six guiding principles – Integrity, Humanity, Accountability, Collaboration, Dedication, and Leadership.
- Manage profit and loss, including budget development and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's Health and Safety policies, as well as provincial and federal laws and regulations specific to the transportation industry.
- Develop and implement customer-facing goals, targets, and performance measures.
- Participate in regional and national strategy meetings, collaborating with Directors at other terminals.
**Requirements**
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- Post-secondary Business Degree – Preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and experience.
- Transportation and trucking industry experience – Preferred.
**Desirable Skills and Competencies**
- Operations Management.
- Process Optimization.
- Organizational Goal Setting.
- Operational Policy Development.
- Experience working in a union environment – An asset.
