About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laundry Worker in the FMS Laundry VRH department at Valley Regional Hospital in Western Zone. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of department equipment, in accordance with standards, regulations, and department policies.

Your primary focus will be on the continuous processing of soiled and clean laundry and linen products, providing clean and safe products to our customers in appropriate quantities. You will work in a professional manner, achieving the Mission, goals, and Objectives of Nova Scotia Health.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. You will have a Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience, with knowledge of Infection Control procedures and WHMIS training. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a Casual Relief position, working variable hours as needed. You will be compensated at a rate of $20.02 per hour.
