Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Field Welder Tester to join our team at the CWB Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing welding qualification testing services, witnessing welder tests, and auditing and procedure testing services to CWB clients who are applicants or certified to various CSA welding standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide welding qualification testing services to CWB clients
  2. Witness welder tests to ensure compliance with CSA welding standards
  3. Audit and procedure test services to CWB clients who are applicants or certified to various CSA welding standards

This part-time position is on an as-needed basis and requires on-call availability from Monday to Friday. You will work out of CWB's client locations in Mississauga/Toronto, ON and surrounding areas, reporting to the Central Regional Supervisor.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in welding, welding inspection, or a related field
  • Knowledge of CSA W47.1, W47.2, and W186 welder qualification testing standards
  • Technical background and knowledge of the welding and joining industry
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle are mandatory for travel
  • Minimum-intermediate computer knowledge of MS Windows / MS Office (Outlook)

The following qualifications would be an asset:

  • CWB Approved Welding Supervisor
  • CSA W178.2 Level 1 or 2 Inspector
  • Journey Person Welder (with more than 5 years experience)
  • Welding Engineering Technician/Technologist
