We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team at Vezina Opticians Inc. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring the smooth operation of our optical retail store.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, processing files and paperwork, and managing routine office functions.
- Optometric Support: Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists, and assist health care professionals with patient care.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, and perform general clerical duties.
- Communication: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Setting: This position is based in an optical retail store and private practice setting.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a dependable, organized, and team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
