The Opportunity

BRC Group - Tayco and BRC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufactured products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine quality assessments on manufactured materials and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare final products to ensure standards are met.
  • Document inspection findings and complete detailed reports and performance records.
  • Educate the production team on quality control processes, including acceptance/rejection criteria, quality concerns, and health and safety protocols.
  • Reject non-conforming components or products and initiate replacement procedures.
  • Provide data to the EH&S Quality Coordinator as required.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to develop recommendations for improvements to existing quality programs and processes.
  • Participate in ISO external audits and Industry BIFMA Levels audit processes, training, and implementation.
  • Conduct component inspections, including processing centers, sorting, assembly, packaging, and shipping.
  • Work in conjunction with the occupational health and safety act and all related company H&S policies.
  • Use and wear prescribed PPE as required.
  • Report any absence or defect in equipment, guards, or PPE.
  • Operate equipment only for which worker orientation and training have been provided.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in a Quality Control Inspector capacity in the furniture/wood manufacturing/warehousing environment or similar Technical Product field environment.
  • Preferably previous experience in Production.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control processes.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent communication ability to lift and handle loads +/- 50lbs.
  • Experience with various measurement instruments.
  • Experience with reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
  • Self-motivated with a good sense of urgency related to overall customer satisfaction focus.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using the following Systems/Tools:
    • 2020 Insight
    • MS Office – Outlook, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams
    • Smartsheet – forms creation and sharing.
    • AutoCAD viewer
    • GoTo Meeting
    • Solidworks PDM

Hours of Work: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

PAY RATE OFFERED: $20.20/hour

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Work on site at the plant full-time for the shift assigned.
  • Overtime as required.
