Position Overview

The Building Maintenance Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities at Comfort Inn & Suites. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the safety and functionality of the premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Conduct minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with tradespersons for significant repairs.
  • Perform basic repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Carry out safety and security inspections to uphold a safe environment.
  • Engage in routine maintenance tasks, including painting and drywall repairs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned duties.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role requires physical capabilities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling to perform various maintenance tasks effectively.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
